Tom Armstrong of Boston has been a member of the board of directors of SCM Private Equity Ltd. since 1998. He has over 30 years of experience in the private equity business. As a founding partner and COO of Advent International, he was responsible for the establishment and development of the global Advent Network in over 26 countries. Before founding Advent International, Mr. Armstrong was Vice President at TA Associates, one of the most eminent venture capital businesses in the USA. He studied engineering at Princeton and Cornell universities (master’s degree) and earned an MBA from Harvard University.
